If you are reading this, you have been blessed with life in another new year! Welcome to 2016… a year of change, transformation, answered prayers, and the realization of your dreams. As we experienced in the White Stone Ceremony, this time of year we begin with a clean slate. We have received a new name and we are free! Isn’t it good to know that the Spirit of God is working in our lives? No matter what the outer appearances, we have a new beginning and, from this place, all things are possible.
On January 10th, we begin a lesson series that will inspire you to demonstrate healing power in every area of your life. Catherine Ponder is one of America’s foremost inspirational authors and we will be exploring some of the ideas from her book, The Dynamic Laws of Healing. Is this the year you claim your healing power and transform your life? I believe there is an energy of sacred wholeness rising up this year. I hope you’ll join us as we learn and apply the healing secrets of the ages.
It was no coincidence that, just as I discerned that we would explore healing in early 2016, Dan Studebaker excitedly came forward with a proposal to lead a new study group based on a book by Ernest Holmes entitled Words That Heal Today. Dan’s group will meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays beginning January 20th. I’m facilitating a class on Unity metaphysics for five Tuesdays beginning January 5th. It looks like there may be a whole lot of healing going on! Please check our emails, website, or call the church for more information.
I’m pleased to announce that we’re making good progress on our “Raise the Roof” fundraising campaign. Thank you for donating so much above and beyond your usual tithes and love offerings. As of January 4, 2016, we have $10,630 in donations designated for our new roof! At this rate, we’ll reach our goal of $40,000 total in the next few months. Once all the leaks have stopped, won’t it be fun to go forward with repairing and painting our interior space? Thank you for giving so much love and energy to our church home. You are blessing this sacred space.
One reminder… if you are a member of Unity of Dayton and desire to continue your membership, please reaffirm your membership as soon as possible. You may do so by replying to this email, calling the office (937) 233-7516, or checking in at the Book Nook. You must be a member to vote at our Annual Meeting in March and all other official business meetings. Thank you for making Unity of Dayton your church home.
I believe that 2016 will be a year of growth and transformation at Unity of Dayton. If you feel that as well, please bring your good vibes and invite your friends to our Sunday morning services. Remember, it’s good to be a welcoming community, and even better to be an invitational spiritual community.
May 2016 be a joyous year of ever-increasing awareness of your oneness with God, the Presence and Power in which we all live, move, and have our being.
In loving service,
