Unity of Dayton has some exciting services and ceremonies planned for Christmas and for the New Year. We hope you will join us and share the experience.

Holding CandleChristmas Eve Candlelight Service – Thursday, December 24th at 7 PM

What a blessing it is to gather in anticipation of the sacred joy of Christmas. The birth of baby Jesus represents the birth of love and hope in a weary world. God’s love took physical form and walked among us. There was good news of great joy! On this Christmas Eve, we celebrate two births… that of the baby, Jesus, and the birth of Christ within our own hearts.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace among those whom he favors!” – Luke 2:13,14

Burning-Bowl-Ceremony-for-bulletinBurning Bowl Ceremony– Thursday, December 31st at 7 pm

Unity of Dayton’s Burning Bowl Ceremony will be Thursday, December 31 at 7 pm. This is a sacred opportunity to write down the thoughts, things, and experiences of the past year that you wish to release to God through fire. You may then write yourself a letter stating your heart’s desire for the coming year. “This or something better… thank you God!” Your letter will be mailed back to you in November, 2016. Happy New Year!

“Before we can enter into the kingdom of God (Spirit or Mind) which opens to us through this new way of thinking and living, we must drop old prejudices and old thoughts and sit meekly down to learn what is true. We must let go of old beliefs in sin, sickness, and death.” ~ Myrtle Fillmore

White StoneWhite Stone Ceremony – Sunday, January 3rd, 2016 at 11 am

Unity of Dayton’s White Stone ceremony, on Sunday, January 3rd at 11:00 am, is based upon Chapter 2, verse 17 in The Revelation to John, “Let anyone who has an ear listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches. To everyone who conquers I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give a white stone, and on the white stone is written a new name that no one knows except the one who receives it.” In this ceremony, you will receive a “white stone” and have an opportunity to discern your new name. Please join us as we begin the New Year with a clean slate, consciously saying “Yes” to the calling of God’s Spirit.

“Let anyone who has an ear listen to what the Spirit is saying. . .I will give a white stone, and on the white stone is written a new name that no one knows except the one who receives it.” ~ Revelation 2:17, (NRSV)
